Collection: Tensor Trucks

Tensor Trucks was founded by professional skateboarder Rodney Mullen in 2000 as part of Dwindle Distribution.

Mullen, known for his innovative approach to skateboarding, designed Tensor Trucks to have unique features that set them apart from other skateboard trucks on the market.

One of the original key features of Tensor Trucks was the polymer baseplate slider, which was designed to increase distance on nose and tail slides. However, this feature has been discontinued, and Tensor now offers trucks made from aluminum and Maglight magnesium, which are known for being some of the lightest skateboard trucks available.

Tensor Trucks are available in three different heights (lo, mid, hi) that are tailored for different wheel diameters, with hi being designed for 58mm wheels and smaller, mid for 54mm or smaller, and lo for 52mm and smaller. The company has also implemented several design features that are unique to Tensor Trucks, such as interlocking bushings to stabilize the truck, baseplate nibs to prevent the truck from shifting when mounting hardware loosens, and a buttonhead kingpin with machined splines to prevent it from spinning in the baseplate. Tensor Trucks have also released a new truck called the "Response" in 2007, which is an all-metal design without the plastic baseplate sliders, and a magnesium truck in 2008, which is touted to be 25% lighter than the industry average truck.

One of the notable characteristics of Tensor Trucks is their lightness, with the magnesium truck claimed to be the lightest skateboard truck ever built. The hanger of the truck is made of magnesium, which is significantly lighter than aluminum, titanium, and steel, while still being strong and durable. The design of the kingpin, which sits below the hanger, also allows for a better grind with less chance of hanging up, and the harder metal used in the hanger reduces the chances of gouging and slowing down during grinds on curbs or rails.

Overall, Tensor Trucks have gained a reputation for their innovative design and lightweight construction, making them a popular choice among skateboarders looking for high-performance trucks for their setups.
