Huf x Wu-Tang

Friday, February 28th, 2014

Quite possibly one of the most anticipated collaborations we’ve seen this year comes from Huf x Wu-Tang.  As your all probably aware this is Wu’s 20th Year Anniversary following on from the (still epic) release of “Enter The Wu-Tang 36 Chambers” and this col-lab is testament to both parties.

As you’ll see below this co-branded pack comes in the dope form of the HR-1 Boot, Football Jersey, Snapback Hat and the prolific Weed/Wu Huf Socks all of which will be available for purchase on the official UK release date of Saturday March 1st.  Be sure to check our website early to avoid disappointment,  Huf X Wutang at

You know we couldn’t do a blog post mentioning the mighty Wu without delving into some classic 36 Chambers bangers.

Surprise Skateboards

Tuesday, February 25th, 2014

So everyone’s riding all sorts of skateboard shapes right now and it’s pretty much a hot topic in our small skate world. It’s certainly no new thing as most of the new decks are harping back to a by gone era of skateboarding but there still fully functional and not just your regular shop board. Probably the best discussion came via the Jenkem Magazine article recently and it’s rad to see that we’re in a time of skateboarding where pretty much anything goes shape wise.

With the above statement in mind we’re stoked to introduce you to Surprise Skateboards straight out the good old US of A. These guys are keeping  it truly old school with there methods, including using the original and what some may say the finest silk screening method for board graphics. Also all there decks come straight out of Prime Woodshop which is kept in high regard in terms of sheer quality in there production and also 100% American made.

Look out for our first drop from Surprise with graphics by artist such as Matt Furie, Phil Guy, Kristena Collantes, Kavin Cook and Michael Hisung.

Plus what’s not to love from a company with the following ethos-

“Skateboarding / Collared Shirts / American Made Decks / Sandwiches / Don Rickles / Hand Screened Graphics / Bourbon / Skateparks at 8am / Smoke Bombs / Yard Sales / Breakfast Spots / Throwing Stars / More Coffee / Mysterious Stuff / S.S. Adams / Comic Books / Neil Blender / Hogan’s Heroes / Pinball / Bonzo / Trouble…”

és Footwear Returns

Friday, February 14th, 2014

We’re celebrating the return of e’s skate shoes with this re-cap blog post from one of the most prolific footwear brands our skateboarding world has ever seen.

For all those asking, we will be one of the chosen 9 skate shops in the UK to carry the new e’s footwear range and we’re hoping for delivery the first week of March. We now have all 3 new styles available on pre-order as we know the demand for these is going to be super high. Keep a look out on our Instagram or Facebook for the latest on exact delivery dates and availability.

See below for all 3 new styles which will be available exclusively in our Manchester Skate store and online for preorder.

After getting a sneak preview on these just a few weeks back we can tell you the quality and detailing on these are absolutely bang on, plus when you see the price these will be going out at then we’re sure you’ll agree these should be your next skate shoe purchase. We’ve also been told they will only be available in just 100 stores World wide so we’re sure these will be collectables of the future, plus knowing each colour way will be unique and only available just one time and never to be repeated will surely make these highly sort after.

Introducing the és Accent, Acellerate and the Koston 2 runner inspired Accelite.

PRE-ORDER YOURS NOW >>> es skate shoes <<<

Back to the proceedings and who better to start of the footage onslaught than és stalwart Ronnie Creager. We’ve heard there’s already a online campaign to reinstate the flip in, flip out originator but we’ll just have to wait and see how that pans out.

It wouldn’t be an e’s footwear post without the legend that is Eric Koston.

The timing wasn’t good whilst the brand was put on ice as it was a pleasure to see Ben Raemers getting the support he so rightfully deserves. We like what Ben is about and at least we got to see some good web clips from his short time with the brand.

And finally to end this very enjoyable flashback into e’s footwear we bring you the one and only Sir Tom Penny.

Pharoahe Monch LIVE!

Tuesday, February 11th, 2014

People of Manchester… this Thursday (13th Feburuary), Band On The Wall proudly present the Hip-Hop legend that is Pharoahe Monch Live in Manchester! Possibly one of the most underrated underground hip-hop artists of our time?

He first hit international fame with the smash hit ‘Simon Says’ back in 1999  however, because of the illegal use of the “Godzilla Theme Song” as a sample in ‘Simon Says’, the album has ceased to be produced but the smash hit continues to be played around the world over 15 years later! There are more side’s to Pharoahe Monch than his hit from 1999, his last album W.A.R (We Are Renegades) carries some really heavy lyrics over some solid beats reflecting his place at ‘war’ with the music industry and his newest album P.T.S.D (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), tackles the issue of gun violence in America and expresses his frustration on the matter. With his powerful lyrical content and rhythmic flows, Pharoahe Monch has always been considered one of the top MC’s in the game.

Support on the night comes from Manchester’s very own Ape Cult and the In The Loop crew.

Etnies Highlight Tyler Bledsoe

Monday, February 10th, 2014

Portland’s Tyler Bledsoe comes through with his all new pro skate shoe the Highlight along with a whole 4 minutes of fresh footage. Always been a massive fan of his skating as one of the new breeds coming through with serious technical finesse.

This is the first shoe from Etnies to incorporate the STI foam as the full sole unit making Tyler’s latest model super light weight and incredibly comfy. Also with the technical heel wrap featured on the outside these are proving great for that extra support. As with his past pro models the Black/Camo colour way is Tyler’s trademark and along with the Red and super clean looking Black/White versions these are sure to be a future classic in the making.

Get watching his all new Etnies Footwear section below and prepare yourself to be hitting the replay button on more than one occasion.
