adidas Skateboarding Na-Kel Smith Mathcourt High RX landing 15th December 2017

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

The three stripes have blessd Na-Kel Smith with another signature colourway – taking free (purple) reign over the ever popular Matchcourt silhouette and resulting in the adidas skateboarding Na-Kel Smith Matchcourt High RX.

Drawing inspiration from Na-Kel’s eclectic influences which range from high fashion to Hollywood and musical stars, the shoe is perfect for any occasion where your feet need some regal flair yet the model is still primed for performance on the board.

The luxurious upper is constructed from a blend of Italian velvet and durable suede which compliments adds to the versatile nature of the adidas skateboarding Na-Kel Smith Matchcourt High RX. The premium textiles sit on top of a vulcanised outsole providing perfect boardfeel, flexibility and grip straight out of the box. The shoes also nestles a molded insole to keep your feet cushioned whether you’re jumping down stairs or strolling down the street to local expensive jewellery outlet for a new pinky ring…

This sophisticated colourway is topped off with unique embroidery on the heel alongside gold accents carried throughout the shoe. It’s not a stretch to say these beauties wouldn’t look out of place in Prince’s wardrobe which we’re sure was on Na-Kel’s mind while concocting these powerful pieces of footwear.

By now you don’t need any further convincing of why you should pimp your feet out with these Paisley Park-inspired sneakers. Regardless, we’ll send this off with Na-Kel’s banging shared part from adidas’ Skateboarding’s Away Days which sees him laying it down alongside his homeboy Jake Donelly.

The adidas skateboarding Na-Kel Smith Matchcourt High RX is available in-store and online Friday 15th December 2017. Limited stock and sizes are available so don’t sleep. We’re open from 10:30am and close at 6:30pm so get that alarm set early and swing by.

Tuesday, November 28th, 2017

Louie Lopez’s “West End” Part For Thrasher.

Everyone’s saying it but holy hell what a time to put out a part like this with the looming coveted Thrasher ‘Skater Of The Year’ title up for grabs. Louie Lopez was already well on target for achieving the peoples vote with a serious amount of footage throughout 2017 for sponsors Flip Skateboards, Converse Cons, Volcom etc etc… but pretty sure Ladbrookes wouldn’t give you good odds now after the below “West End” part for Thrasher Magazine.

We’ve been a big fan of Louie Lopez watching him grow up under the talent spotting Flip Skateboards and to see how he’s developed a faultless style along with taking skating to the next mental control level yet keeping it looking so effortlessly.

Black Sheep Friday in Association with Flip Skateboards

Tuesday, November 21st, 2017

It’s happening again! That time of year where retailers all over the world drop their pants in the name of a strange American tradition that people outside of the United States don’t really understand. Not to stray from the path of conformity (we are ‘sheep’ after all…) we’re joining in with the bargain-based fun and have team up with Flip Skateboards to offer you a dope deal for Black Sheep Friday.

Black Sheep Friday – how does it work?

Spend over £100 at Black Sheep on Black Friday, November 24th and you’ll be treated to a FREE Flip Skateboards deck as our way of saying thanks. The offer is available all day in-store and at whilst stocks last!

If you’re shopping online you will be offered a choice of size and graphic before completing your checkout and once you’ve picked a deck it will be shipped with your entire order.

We’re also offering our usual Black Friday offer of a free gift if you spend over £15 and please note that postage charges will not increase when a board or gift is added to your order.

Finally, as we wouldn’t be able to provide this fantastic offer without the support of Flip Skateboards, we’re revisiting some of our favourites spanning from the lens of Fred French with the iconic ‘Sorry’ and right up to the present. Get watching, get stoked and get ready for Black Friday!

Oh Arto, so much to answer for… A heavyweight contender for ‘best video part of all time’ and the epitome of the phrase ‘would just as good if it came out today’ – no mention of Flip is complete without our favourite Finn’s double-David Bowie curtain call from Sorry.

Yes, more Arto – but who could ever tire of this handsome devil?

One of the gnarliest opening tricks, made even more intense thanks to Lemmy’s opening monologue for Serial Killer, leading straight into one of the finest parts put to screen from Liverpool’s favourite son. Walk on, walk on…

Columbian metalhead and self punishment enthusiast, David Gonzalez took the ender of Flip’s final full length production, Extremely Sorry, and took Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year title for 2012 shortly afterwards, remind yourself why…

Released via Transworld Skateboarding in 2014, Flip’s ‘3’ showcased a fairly fresh faced Alec Majerus before handing the reigns over to Louie Lopez for some casual tech finesse and rounded off by smooth-styled California shredder Curren Caples (accompanied by a great Future Islands track too).

Palace Skateboards present ‘Palasonic’ – 7 Years Worth of Grainy London Glory

Tuesday, November 14th, 2017

The highly anticipated Palace Skateboards video, ‘Palasonic’ has finally been unleashed in all of its grainy VHS glory!

‘Palasonic’ is the product of seven years worth of tape logging in the London streets from Lev Tanju and the PWBC. Filmed entirely throughout the nations capital, the video features Rory Milanes, Chewy Cannon, Lucien Clarke, Lucas Puig, Chewy Cannon, Benny Fairfaix, Rory Milanes, Karim Bakhtaoui, Blondey McCoy, Charlie Young, Olly Todd, Torey Goodall and even that crustacean smashing miscreant, Shawn Powers.

Even the biggest fashion-bashing enthusiasts will struggle to knock the triangle at this point. Considering the recent opening of Mwadlands, a free indoor park in London, for the winter, it’s also worth noting that amongst opening shops in London and New York and soaring into streetwear royalty – Palace’s productivity hasn’t slacked and company has showcased at least one annual video release (including Endless Bummer, Paramount and V-Nice over the last three years) in the the build up to ‘Panasonic’.

Set aside forty minutes, sit back and feel the cold of the London streets before basking in the warmth of Lucien’s Victoria Benches nostalgia… Big up the Waywards on delivering on the hype and getting Gully Flared.

Slam For Sam – Halloween Jam at The Pumpcage

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017

Our friend Sam Parker was sadly involved in a serious roadside collision earlier this year.

Since July, Sam has undergone numerous brain surgeries at the Salford Royal Hospital, drifting in and out of consciousness for the past few months although, thankfully, it appears thats Sam’s hospital treatment is coming to an end.

Although there’s still a long way to go, hopefully he will be on the the road to recovery very soon so to help Sam a group of his friends have organised the Slam For Sam Halloween Jam at The Pumpcage to help raise money for Sam and his family to cover the cost of any additional healthcare, physiotherapy or just some funds for Sam to buy something to enjoy.

The skate jam takes place on Saturday October 28th, in the wooden section of The Cage, with trick competitions, best costume awards, a stinkbug challenge, prizes, music, beers for the over 18s, lap races and a mystery guest! There will be a £5 entry donation for the day with all proceeds going to towards Sam and his family. Get yourself down and help support a good cause!

You can find the full address for The Pumpcage below and click here to further support Sam’s recovery by clicking here.
