So it’s been a hot minute since we see Sean Lomax going it alone again for another full length production of documenting the Manchester Skateboarding scene. If you seen any of Sean’s past work you’ll know his integrity and down right unique sick way he captures such a vibrant scene. We’ve compiled some of his finest ‘skateboarding’ work for you below but watch and be aware that all this work is made outside of his real job of doing high end TV production filming. The dedication is always a true reflection of Lomax’s craft and the finished product is always something that stands the test of time.
If you not already seen the hype for this premiere on social media then just be sure your in attendance Friday the 1st March (doors open at 19.00.) To give the newly named ‘Cottonopolis Video‘ it’s deservedly premier the Manchester Skateboarding scene will be treated to a real cinema style setting. This is not for those lurkers just after the free beer whilst squinting at a little monitor, this is sure to be a more rowdy yet civilized affair. Entry on the door will be a donation of just £4.00 and we’ve been advised the younger skaters may attend in the company of a responsible adult. Click the link for venue info at NIAMOS Center Hulme.
As mentioned above you’ll get a sample to what Cottonopolis Video production will be like. Get your viewing pleasure on and catch up on a whole host of amazing Manchester Skateboarding. Yes the scene is strong here and the amount of sponsored skaters within such a small proximity lends itself to being the most ever productive skateboarding scene the UK has ever witnessed. Big up to all the featured skaters no matter who you rider for it’s always inspiring to see such a tight crew as it was and how it should be. And obvious props to Sean for his continued documentation of the above mentioned skate scene. Always got big love for the Independent producers, artist, photographers, retailers etc as the true shine always reflects in there chosen art. Anyway… get watching and then get your cruisers decks out and mission on down to Hulme tomorrow for the fun and frolics of what’s sure to be a monumental Manchester Skateboarding event.

Graystone Skatepark Manchester – Black Sheep Family
One recent mid winter evening we where cordially invited to go check out the newest indoor skate park for Manchester. Graystone Action Sports Academy Manchester is somewhat different to the dark, dingy skate-parks we’ve all grown up with. Instead your welcomed with cleanliness, good lighting, one seriously impressive layout by the FourOneFour park builders and to top it all off you can enjoy some chef made food and (for the non-drivers) partake in an arrange of beverages.
We’ve been told there’s more to come from this Manchester based facility to add to the trampoline, snowboard foam pit jump and general craziness of the place. Expect a sprung floor insulation, ninja climbing centre, on site yoga classes and much, much more. At this point let me just state the square footage of the place still remains around 80% pure heavenly Russian birch skate-park paradise.
Huge thanks for the invite and session. Get your viewing pleasure on below and see the fruits of labour from that recent winter evening session. As you may be aware the #BlackSheepFamily go off at any given opportunity so it’s no surprise they bagged a minute and half’s worth of footage with more to spare.
Featuring Black Sheep Store team riders Harry Lintell, Seb Batty, Lucien Costello, Sam Mason and the latest young-gun recruit and all around terrain killer Leo James. All filmed in just a two hour session followed by beer, bants and fat cut chips for afters. Thanks again to Graystone Action Sports Academy for the hook up.
Props to Lewis Royden and Will Berry from Amfas Skateboards for the filming & editing duties.
Feast your eyes on Zion Wright’s first full part since turning Pro for Real Skateboards. Watch Zion do some outrageous skateboarding in Manchester spots. But it’s not just Manchester, Zion and the Real boys have been all round the world filming for this. Shout out to Tim Fulton for producing this edit.
Zion has been smashing it since he was tiny, he grabbed skaters attention at an early age and many have watched him grow and progress into the machine that he is today. And now, at the tender age of 19 Zion is pro, and rightfully so.
This skateboarding prodigy continues to blow our minds. Unbelievable at both street and park this boy can do it all. We were stoked to have Zion down in the shop along with the other Real team skaters to celebrate our own Harry Lintell’s Real part premier. Despite being an absolute maniac on a skateboard Zion was super chilled and a pretty quiet dude. Zion, it was a pleasure to have you.
We felt really lucky to be the only Northern stop for the Real team. So once again, a big thanks to Real Skateboards, Shiner Uk Ltd. Distribution and DLXSF for hooking it up and all the support they have given us.
Real Skateboards : Harry Lintell Part World Premiere with Busenitz and Zion
Join us for the World Premiere of Harry Lintell’s Real Skateboards part!
Come hang out with with #BlackSheepFamily member Harry Lintell and legendary status long term Real Pro Dennis Busenitz plus ATV killer Zion Wright along with a whole host of the Global Real team!!!
This is the only stop in the North for the Real Team so you know this will GO OFF!
If Busenitz is travelling all the way from Stateside then you know how heavy Harry’s Video Part will be!
Huge thanks to Real SkateboardsShiner Uk Ltd. Distribution and DLXSF for hooking up the Premiere and also backing our boy Harry #RealSinceDayOne
For now though go remind yourself of some of Harry’s ridiculously talented parts from over the years-
Another fine ‘True To This’ edit from the Volcom camp. As it says in the title, this is the heavy hitting Global Volcom team tearing the smokey streets of London a new one.
Featuring Daan Van Der Linden, Alec Majerus, Ben Reamers, Dustin Dollin, Axel Cruysberghs, Charlie Birch, Victor Pellegrin and of course our very own Black Sheep Family member Harry Lintell!
Filmed and edited by Lannie Rhoades, Anthony Travis and London’s very own Kevin Parrott.
The Deluxe crew seriously know how to bring the heat! Spitfire Wheels has been the staple skateboard wheel brand for as long as time can remember and every time they come correct on the video front! Spitfire Wheels ‘Arson Department 2’ certainly lives up to their heritage and level of skateboarding they’ve set the proverbial bar so high for.
Following on from the utter destruction of Spitfire Wheels Arson Department volume one, this time round see’s more of the heavy hitting squad ruining skate parks and San Francisco spots like never seen before.
Including A-list Spitfire team members Grant Taylor, Ronnie Sandoval, Raney Beres, Jamie Foy, Taylor Kirby, Ishod Wair, Zion Wright along with Black Sheep Family member and part time S.F ruler Harry Lintell! Plus a whole host of other of the Spitfire team reigning fire on a whole other level.
Coming in hot! The Spitfire Wheels team tear the Bay Area to pieces in the latest visual treat out of the DLXSF camp.
Reigning Euro SOTY Daan Van Der Linden, the people’s hero Dennis Busenitz, the most powerful nose in skateboarding Frank Gerwer and our man Harry Lintell put on one hell of show alongside Peter Ramondetta, Evan Smith, Tristan Funkhouser, Axel Cruysberghs and more.
We couldn’t be more stoked to see Harry getting a bit of shine over in the US and the rest of the Spitfire Crew kill it so hard that this is an ideal bit of hype to get you going even on the chilliest on winter days.
Last year seen Real Skateboards ‘Known Associate’ rider Hermann Stene take the plunge and get in the van for his first US road-trip encounter with the ever powerful Real team. Following on from that they’ve seen fit to piece together the below edit as Hermanne carried on the street destruction to put out his ‘Known Associate’ for Real along with a few tricks from Black Sheep Family member Harry Lintell.
Expect to see more from all of the above as we suspect this Hermann edit below is just a taster of his ‘on plank skills.’ Also, Harry’s currently Stateside mixing it up with the GX1000 crew & Deluxe guys and so no doubt tearing San Francisco a new one so to speak.
The good folk at Shiner distribution and backers of Pixels TV sent the UK Spitfire Wheels crew out to Barcelona for a brief hard hitting trip. Footage was stacked and of course Black Sheep team rider Harry Lintell got more than involved in his casual nonchalant style. Go watch the edit below featuring Manny Lopez, Dylan Hughes, Joe Gavin and Ollie Lock filmed and edited by lennsman Austin Bristow.
Rad to see UK team riders getting the backing from skateboard wheels giants Spitfire Wheels and Shiner putting up the dough and orchestrating for the trip. Props all round to all involved in making this one happen and hopefully more to come!
Ps- Harry Lintell currently Stateside with the US Spitfire team so be sure to catch his happenings via Spitfire Wheels Instagram
