This edit was filmed through Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The team all testing out the new range of Nike SB skate shoes. This video features Hjalte Halberg, Cyrus Bennett, Oskar Rozenberg, Hugo Boserup, Max Palmer, Ville Wester and the man himself Lance Mountain. A power edit by a power team. Filmed and edited by Tor Ström. Check it out:
The new shoes and apparel from Nike SB are designed by Lance Mountain, under the By Lance Collection. The outcome is a fresh new take on the classic blazers, as well as some jerseys and jumpers, all of which are pretty different for Nike. The range has just come into the store and you can shop it here: https://www.blacksheepstore.co.uk/nike-sb.html
Nike SB and Lance Mountain have teamed up with some OG skateboarding legends to bring us ‘The Spirit of 78/17’. Bringing together Brad Bowman, Chris Strople, Doug “Pineapple” Saladino and Tom “Wally” Inouye, real pioneers of skateboarding style, maneuvers and pool riding (who graced the covers and pages of some of the first skateboard magazines). Lance is also joined by Guy Mariano and Donovan Piscopo for a pool session – which is edited to look like photo sequences in skate mags.
Street wear giants Stussy have made a return to skateboarding with their new short film titled TRIBE. The film, made by world renowned photographer Jared Sherbert is Stussy’s first skate film in a while since last years Terpening in Cincinnati and Lance Mountain building and skating his own pool. The six and a half minute clip reflects just another day in the streets filmed in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco all captured in a nostalgic VHS-like quality. The edit features Stussy skaters Caleb Barnett, Aaron Loreth, Jesse Alba, Max Klein and the legend that is Lance Mountain.
Thirty years on from the iconic Powell Peralta video ‘The Search For Animal Chin’ the Bones Brigade has regrouped for a very special occasion.
Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill and Tommy Guerrero accompanied by photographer Grant Brittain attended a heavy and nostalgic session on a re-built version of the iconic ‘Chin ramp’ to re-shoot Brittain’s famous four-man invert photo.
This really is a brilliant way to celebrate such an influential part of skateboarding history so without further ado, let Tony and the gang put a smile on your face.
Lance Mountain took the breath away from each and every skaters lungs last year. Well maybe from those who managed to watch his part in the Nike SB Chronicles Vol. 3 video. His part was released yesterday via the good old internet. If you didn’t watch it the first time around then you’d be mad not to watch it now. A 51 year old ripper who has shocked the world yet again. Not only has he been involved in and contributed a huge amount to the skateboard world for a huge number of years, it seems after watching this there will be many years left in him. I hope filming this part has given him inspiration to film another. An absolute shocker and it would have to be my best part from the video. Apologies to the other skaters featured in the video but I’m sure they’ll agree with me that this shit is dope. It wasn’t just the bowl/park skating I was expecting to see, there is also a number or street clips involved too. My mind is melting! Imagine capturing a glimpse of this legend board-sliding a yet familiar jersey barrier. Bloody brilliant! Have a look above to see what I’m talking about…
