New Balance Numeric skate goodies drop for Xmas

Wednesday, November 4th, 2020

Well, the lockdown is back and the weather’s turned to crap but the Internet keeps on turning.
Lots of New Balance Numeric skate goodies delivered in the first week of November. And, by some act of magical coincidence we’ve also got a heavy drop of fresh New Balance Numeric skate shoes.
Spooky eh?

First up is long-time New Balance Numeric head Tom Karagelov, (yes, I had to Google the spelling).
Seems as though I’m not the only one who struggles with his surname too as the upload of his latest clip simply goes with ‘Tom K’. Does having a commonly misspelled last name negatively affect your Google footprint? Who knows…

We’re not entirely sure which ‘museum’ Tom K is entering, or, for that matter, what the title is supposed to mean but hey ho – the footage is good. As you’d expect from Tom K, there are lots of interesting spots and a lot of fast-footed no push lines. You have to admire a man prepared to colour coordinate his outfits with his spots too.

New Balance Numeric skate goodies drop for Xmas

After you’ve ‘entered the museum’ (and then exited presumably) you’ll probably be thirsty for some chunky goth magic, right? Well, have only the smallest smattering of fear because New Balance Numeric have got you on this one too.
Is there a more unique and genre-crossing current pro than Franky Villani? Tech. Mosher. Pop. Weirdo. Dork tricks. Ledge maths. Handrails. Tranny skills. Big lad has it all.
The fact that he went from Zero to Primitive and it made absolutely perfect sense should be testament enough to the sheer depth of skill he has. But, if you’re a bellend who still needs convincing why this misfit is where he is – feast your eyes below.

This is one of those parts where anybody with even the slightest interest in skateboarding is going to take notice. If the opening trick alone doesn’t have you fiending for more then you’re dead to us. Watch. Enjoy. Repeat.

Due to the newly imposed lockdown our store will now be temporarily closed but our online arm is in full swing as always. Shout us for all of your skateboarding needs.
We are stocked and ready to deliver with everything from Christmas complete skateboards through to all the skate shoes, hardware and soft goods that you could possibly need.

Collab of the year? Vans x Dime Half Cab Pro skate shoes

Thursday, October 22nd, 2020

It’s been a strong year for Vans already – heavy video output, even heavier team additions (Andrew Reynolds and Tony Hawk), the Foot the Bill project: the list goes on.
This latest collab release might just be the best yet though as these Vans x Dime Half Cab Pro skate shoes are sick.
We post a hell of a lot of Vans content on the blog but don’t call it bias.
Quite simply, Vans are now, and always have been, true leaders in the world of skate footwear.
Seeing them team up with Montreal’s own merry pranksters Dime makes so much sense.
As a brand Dime’s roots are in the scene that spawned it but over the years, thanks to a combination of wavey garms and a unique approach to event management, they’ve evolved into one of the hottest street wear brands on the planet.

Vans x Dime Half Cab pro skate shoes

Although it seems fairly unlikely that any of you out there will be unaware of Dime’s contributions to global skate culture, just in case – we’re here to remind you.
The Dime Glory Challenges (see videos dotted throughout) are a series of events, part Olympic/Street League parody, part It’s a Knockout!, part straight forward carnage, that have become the most talked about events in global skate culture since starting in 2015.
The best skating, the best skaters and the best vibes.
Vans have been involved since it began and this Vans x Dime Half Cab Pro collab celebrates this fact.

In the simplest terms, Dime’s Glory Challenges are skate contests like they’re supposed to be.
Competition plays second fiddle to chaos with awards thrown out for things like best ‘fake style’ rather than robotic repetition. If for whatever reason, you’ve never watched any of their videos – sit back, drink ten energy drinks and get ready to rip your shirts off, (after buying a pair of these very limited Vans x Dime Half Cab Pro skate shoes first of course).

Big up Vans. Big up Dime. Big up skateboarding chaos.

If you’re keen, which realistically you should be, DO NOT hang about because these Vans x Dime Half Cab Pro skate shoes will sell out almost immediately. We can guarantee that.

Like we need any excuse to talk about Vans x Anti Hero! To say we’re stoked on this collaboration release is an understatement. Get the low down on this full release then scan your cursor downwards and hit play. Like we say, any excuse for some Anti Hero appreciation with a shed load of classic footage.

With signature models from the legendary collaboration riders Tony Trujillo, Chris Pfhanner, John Cardiel and Jeff Grosso. Plus insole artwork by the absolute ruler Todd Francis

Take note of the Vans Pro range and the differences with make up and insoles. The TNT Advanced Prototype and Grosso Sk8-Mid Pro’s both utilising Vans UltraCush Lite 3D footbed insoles (*editors note- these are ridicuously comfy with real arch support in a vulcanised shoe.) The John Cardiel Old Skool Pro and Chris Pfhanner Slip On Pro are both equipped with Duracap (dual layer reinforcement under toe piece suede) reinforced rubber underlays for durability plus the ever popular UltraCush HD sockliners for cushioning and impact protection.

All the Vans x Anti Hero Footwear range comes complete with the Todd Francis artwork insoles along with woven embroidered Anti Hero tab label. Seriously can’t choose between the styles of this collaboration pack but the welcome return of the Vans Sk8 Mid from Jeff Grosso is sure to be a straight up classic go to skate shoe.

Also you’ll be able to purchase the banging apparel pack to coincide with this Vans x Anti Hero release.

The Vans x Antihero apparel collection comes correct as you’d expect. Clean simple graphics on short and long sleeve tees, a fleece pullover hooded sweatshirt and a trucker hat. Make sure you check the detailing on the staple work-wear inspired yarn dye shadow plaid flannel shirt. Regular straight fit with Todd Francis artwork pigeon embroidery to lower hem plus custom label package details.

Now remind yourselves why Anti Hero Skateboards is one of the most well respected brands out there. Good reason why skate footwear rulers Vans continue to seek out these collaborations with only the best. “All Hail” Vans x Anti Hero.

The classic Antihero “Fucktards” video. Originally release back in 1997.

The one when Cardiel goes nuts! Or is that even nuttier than before. John Cardiel worship is highly encouraged!

This was the one you just couldn’t find on video. Maybe your mate had a copy of a copy held together with celloptape and the prongs snapped out so you couldn’t record over it. Timeless skateboarding Antihero “Two Songs” from the year 2002.

Tony Trujillo aka TNT = Vans x Anti Hero lifer!

Big poppa Chris Pfanner for the Vans “Propeller” video.

Okay so it’s not classic Grosso footage from the late 80’s but his ‘Love letters to Skateboarding’ episodes are just to entertaining to not mention.

Adidas Skateboarding has been spicing up production lately. They recently dropped the new 3ST series on us. Now, Adidas is set to release a new type of skate shoe, the 3MC.

Adidas set an objective to make a high performing skate shoe that could also be worn for everyday use. Aesthetically, the 3MC takes inspiration from the iconic Gazelle silhouette, which Adidas considers to be one of the most influential styles in their archives. The 3MC has it’s classic Adidas exterior, while at the same time being a durable skate shoe. This is thanks to it’s new Geoflex outsole and reinforced triple-needle stitch. The Adidas team have skated and approved the 3MC’s.

In other words, the 3MC combines iconic design elements from Adidas heritage with modern performance in mind. By marrying these two elements Adidas gives life to the ultimate all purpose shoe.

Wednesday, September 21st, 2016

VANS X ODD FUTURE RELEASE THIS SATURDAY. MORE INFO BELOW ON THIS YEARS MOST EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION!!!!

OF for blog

It’s that time of the year again, that special moment when Vans join forces with none other than Odd Future (OFWGKTA), bringing you the uttermost exclusive/limited collaboration there is and probably has ever been. Having said that I was mightily impressed when Coke Cola joined forces with vanilla so maybe not the best. Anyway despite my thirty brain, I would suggest you guys make a reminder for this Saturday (24/09/16), that is when the world will collapse and donuts will appear on the feet of masses worldwide. The previous drops that Vans and Odd Future have done over the years have been good although they do not compare to this one. Get the wallets/purses at the ready…. you seriously don’t want to miss out on this one.

With prices, the Authentic will cost you £51.95 and then the SK8 HI will be £64.95. So finally as you already know, this Saturday sees the release of both pairs and to make things fair we have decided to sell them just in store from 10:00 am. If any pairs are left over then they will go online later that day. Although I wouldn’t advice waiting until they do because due to the high demand I cannot say they’ll be any left over to put online. Set your alarms and be at the ready for this highly limited collaboration release from Vans and Odd Future.

Emerica – MADE Chapter 2 Trailer

Monday, July 11th, 2016

It has been about three years since Emerica started their MADE Chapter series. The first chapter, released in 2013 featured Leo Romero, Brandon Westgate, Colin Provost and a surprising part from Jeremy Leabres. Now, the official trailer for MADE Chapter 2 has been published online with Jerry Hsu giving us the lowdown on what to expect and how excited he is about the project. Although there has been no official release date yet, we can probably expect it in the later end of 2016. Speaking on the Shelter Show podcast this week Jerry said “October-November-ish. September-October-November. Something like that.” Then he gave us insight who’s going to be featured in this installment, “That’s gonna be Andrew [Reynolds], [Bryan] Herman, Spanky, Figgy, and then myself. And then, like, everyone else will be in the video—they’ll just be in there. Everyone on the team will be in the video, but those guys will have parts.”

Click play below and get hyped because MADE Chapter 2 is most certainly going to be worth the wait.

Adidas – ‘Far and Away’ Episode 2

Friday, May 6th, 2016

The second episode of the Adidas Skateboarding x Thrasher Magazine ‘Far and Away’ series has landed. In this episode you can learn more about Nak, Adidas’s up and coming shredder as he talks about his roots and from watching this video, he seems to be a proper down to earth dude. Then Miles draws inspiration from overseas and there’s chat about Adidas’s last video ‘Diagonal’. Diagonal, for any crazy human being that hasn’t seen it yet, you need to watch it. It features a part from our UK’s very own Chewy Cannon, as well as the rest of the gang.Back to ‘Far and Away, there’s some more off-cuts like the first episode so you can expect to see some quality skating too. Not fully sure how many episodes are too come, although I hope there are many as I’m thoroughly enjoying each and every one. I hope you guys are too.
