The Gonz just hit the big 5-0, so it seems a good time to reflect on this legend.
Memory Screen have gone and put together 9 minutes straight of Mark Gonzales’ best bits over the years. This edit contains some of his most memorable clips from 1995 right up until 2018. Take some time to appreciate over a decade of one of the most iconic skateboarders out there.
This also feels a good time to show Krooked some love. A bit of history for you, Krooked was founded in 2001 by Mark Gonzales. Krooked was started under DLX Distribrution alongside Spitfire Wheels, Thunder Trucks and Real Skateboards. And of course the Gonz is responsible for the iconic graphics and art as well as promotional material & ads.

Four new colourways of Pro Skate models and an apparel capsule brought to you by two of skateboarding’s finest!
Coming out blazing from the cold winter months, Vans and Spitfire Wheels have teamed to deliver four unique colourways for their Pro Skate footwear range alongside an apparel collection blending classic the iconography of two of the oldest and well respected brands in skateboarding history. Here’s your first glimpse at the Vans X Spitfire Wheels Spring 2018 collection…
First up we’ve got the latest addition to the Vans Pro Skate line-up, The Chima Pro 2, in Pink/White. We’re big fans of the new silhouette (and Chima Ferguson himself – obviously) which manages to be streamlined and lightweight without sacrificing any durability thanks to Vans’ Duracap technology which reinforces the shoes suede and canvas upper. The Chima 2 also introduces Vans’ UltraCush Lite 3D footbed which builds on the original UltraCush Lite insole by adding dual-density foam. Throw in a moulded heel counter and Vans beloved waffle outsole and the end is result is a responsive, supportive and long lasting shoe which is topped off with Spitfire artwork including a pleasant reminder to ‘Burn Forever’ debossed into the leather heel piece and ridges resembling Spitfire’s ‘Swirl’ pattern on the trademark Vans jazz stripe.
Another pastel piece comes courtesy of the Kyle Walker Pro in Baby Blue. Again, artwork inspired by Spitfire’s classic swirl pattern adorns the side stripe alongside the shoe’s Ultracush HD insole which, combined with the Wafflecup outsole, provides the best of boardfeel and protection. Whether it’s comfort you’re after or you need of something to absorb the shock of hammering handrails like K-Walks himself, this is the one for you.
Anthony Van Engelen’s AV Rapidweld Pro is every bit as robust as you would expect for a shoe backed by The Champ. Featuring a Vans Pro Skate Waffle outsole for unrivalled boardfeel and fantastic cushioning, thanks to the Ultracush HD insole, the shoe comfortably caresses the heel for a supportive and locked in fit whereas the suede upper is lined with Duracap to ensure you get the most out of AVE signature shoe. The Vans X Spitfire exclusive colourway comes in a deep navy with white leather highlights featuring Spitfire artwork on the side stripe and insole.
Finally, an Era Pro tops off the Vans X Spitfire Wheels Spring 2018 footwear collection in a colourway that burns as bright as Spitfire’s trademark bighead. Classic double wrapped vulcanised constructed, classic Vans waffle sole and classic silhouette – it’s only fitting that one of the most celebrated skate shoes ever made accompanies this collaboration between two of skateboarding’s legacy companies.
First drop of Vans X Spitfire Wheels Spring 18 collection will be available 15th March 2018 in-store and online. This includes the new Chima Pro II and the ever popular Kyle Walker Pro.
Second drop featuring the AV Rapidweld Pro and Cardiel Era Pro will be available before Summer with fixed dates to be expected soon.
Scroll down for a peek at some of the accompanying soft goods for this collaboration.
The Deluxe crew seriously know how to bring the heat! Spitfire Wheels has been the staple skateboard wheel brand for as long as time can remember and every time they come correct on the video front! Spitfire Wheels ‘Arson Department 2’ certainly lives up to their heritage and level of skateboarding they’ve set the proverbial bar so high for.
Following on from the utter destruction of Spitfire Wheels Arson Department volume one, this time round see’s more of the heavy hitting squad ruining skate parks and San Francisco spots like never seen before.
Including A-list Spitfire team members Grant Taylor, Ronnie Sandoval, Raney Beres, Jamie Foy, Taylor Kirby, Ishod Wair, Zion Wright along with Black Sheep Family member and part time S.F ruler Harry Lintell! Plus a whole host of other of the Spitfire team reigning fire on a whole other level.
Coming in hot! The Spitfire Wheels team tear the Bay Area to pieces in the latest visual treat out of the DLXSF camp.
Reigning Euro SOTY Daan Van Der Linden, the people’s hero Dennis Busenitz, the most powerful nose in skateboarding Frank Gerwer and our man Harry Lintell put on one hell of show alongside Peter Ramondetta, Evan Smith, Tristan Funkhouser, Axel Cruysberghs and more.
We couldn’t be more stoked to see Harry getting a bit of shine over in the US and the rest of the Spitfire Crew kill it so hard that this is an ideal bit of hype to get you going even on the chilliest on winter days.
Thrasher Magazine have teamed up with Spitfire to present the eagerly anticipated Thrash and Burn 2017 video. They put together and absolute barrage of a crew full of skateboarding’s most entertaining characters. The road trip around Europe saw the group take over the streets and shut down every park they rolled four wheels on. Featuring appearances from the likes of Jake Phelps, Chris Pfanner, Oskar Rozenberg, Jacopo Carozzi, Louie Lopez, Cory Kennedy, Zion Wright, Ishod Wair, Evan Smith, Grant Taylor, Raney Beres, Raven Tershy and Daan Van Der Linden you know that this edit is going to be the fire.
Harry Lintell & co for Spitfire wheels ‘Avenues and alleyways’. Super stoked!
Our very own Black Sheep representative Harry Lintell has been living the dream on an extended stay out in San Francisco recently as many of you will have seen via the Real Skateboards, GX1000 and our very own Instagram feeds. It looks safe to say that Harry has been taking care of business out there like a man on a mission with Spitfire dropping their latest clip ‘Avenues and alleyways’. The short but banging clip features a good chunk of Lintell footage along with Alex Conn, James Capps, Austin Kanfoush, Sean Greene and Matt Gottwig skating around the avenues and alleyways of the city.
The hype has started rolling out for this weeks fire (pun intended…) release from skateboard giants Spitfire x AntiHero Skateboards.
As leaked from the Spitfire Wheels Instagram this collaboration release will coincide with a full new section from AntiHero Skateboards Pro Tony Trujillo so expect an updated blog piece from us nearer the time on that one! *edit- scan below now for some Tony T fire!
Spitfire x AntiHero release date is set for this Friday 9th June 2017. The limited range will be available in store and online whilst stocks last.
Scroll down below for some teaser images of this forthcoming drop with four select Spitfire x AntiHero Pro wheels along with a limited release capsule collection including coach jacket, hooded sweatshirt, T-shirt and mesh trucker cap.
The good folk at Shiner distribution and backers of Pixels TV sent the UK Spitfire Wheels crew out to Barcelona for a brief hard hitting trip. Footage was stacked and of course Black Sheep team rider Harry Lintell got more than involved in his casual nonchalant style. Go watch the edit below featuring Manny Lopez, Dylan Hughes, Joe Gavin and Ollie Lock filmed and edited by lennsman Austin Bristow.
Rad to see UK team riders getting the backing from skateboard wheels giants Spitfire Wheels and Shiner putting up the dough and orchestrating for the trip. Props all round to all involved in making this one happen and hopefully more to come!
Ps- Harry Lintell currently Stateside with the US Spitfire team so be sure to catch his happenings via Spitfire Wheels Instagram
