Collection: Anti Hero Skateboards

Anti Hero is a legendary skate brand founded in 1995 and part of DLX distribution of Sanfrancisco. Anti Hero have had many amazing pros ride for them at some point over the company’s history, including Jon Cardiel, Tony Truljillo, Frank Gerwer, Peter Hewit, Jeff Grosso RIP and more.

Anti Hero artwork is often produced by Todd Francis and features many many pigeons ha! in his own words he tries to produce artwork "That doesn't suck"

The brand was founded by former pro skater Julien Stranger, after he was offered the opportunity to start a brand by Real Skateboards owner Jim Thiebaud. The pair felt that skateboarding needed a brand with a raw, fresh approach. Anti Hero was formed as a reaction to what Julien Stranger felt to be a scene becoming increasingly stale.

Anti Hero’s boards are usually quite wide in construction in comparison to other decks, and excellent for ripping up pools and transition. Most Anti hero boards are above the 8.25” mark.

Anti Hero have released a collection of videos over their time as a company, including Tent City. Tent City was released in 2004 which documented a skate trip through Australia with the Anti Hero team of the time. Tent City has been regarded by some as the best skate trip video of all time according to Thrasher .The video amazed skaters due to its use of weird and wonderful transition spots, including the iconic colossal concrete full pipe which Tony Truljillo is seen riding on the video’s cover.

Anti Hero have also collaborated with Vans to produce a series of collaborative shoes, with one Era colourway and two pro models from Tony Truljillo and Jeff Grosso.
